After looking at typography I want to find particular tattoos that I have a create illustrations inspired and influenced on the tattoo in particular. Rather than focusing on the emotions and meanings that I personally associate with my tattoos I want to look at the ones I find most aesthetically pleasing. As well as this I would like to intergrate typography into my pieces too.
Below are the tattoos I've selected. I've chosen them because they all have a female influence into the design but are all very different too which gives me a theme to run with but will make the illustrations different and stand alone pieces too.
I think the illustrations themselves will be more influences by the two images right and below right as they have a strong "traditional" tattoo influence to them that I want to express through my artwork too.
I now feel that rather than working for this project, I have a lot of ideas and inspirations hitting me constantly which is making this project really fun and enjoyable for me too. I almost feel like the work and art is now guiding me through and everything is coming naturally to me now rather than having to work for it.
Below is a very VERY rough mock up idea for how everything will plan out with the text, background and main illustration piece put together. I know it looks horrible but I really wanted to show how I was going to bring all of this together and how it would all lay out. I'm really happy with how the project is going and how this is developing naturally into the final pieces. My next step is to draw up my mock ups for the final pieces.
